ABOUT:

     Given a series of tests as a puppy, Zeus is picked from his litter by dog trainer Marco to be a Water Rescue Canine because the little Labrador is fearless.

     Marco knows a suitable dog for this dangerous work when he sees one, and to help him teach Zeus to save lives he has his own dog Bear as mentor and his 13-year-old son Kimo to drill Zeus in basic commands.

     Kimo tries to be professional, but he can’t help falling in love with Zeus.  Marco raises dogs to sell, but Kimo wants Zeus for himself.

     It seems unfair to Kimo.  Marco didn’t sell Bear, why do they have to sell Zeus? 

     Bear wasn’t sold because he failed the most important test—a dive from a hovering helicopter.  But Zeus won’t be afraid because he fears nothing.  Should Kimo try to deliberately train Zeus to fail?          What must Kimo do to prove that Zeus is too special of a dog to give to anyone else? 

     When Kimo’s grandmother Tutu nearly drowns in a boating accident and suffers a heart attack, Bear is sent for help and gets lost and it will be up to Zeus to save everyone.  Will that be enough to convince Marco not to sell this important dog? 

     If Kimo, Zeus, and his cousin of the same age, Giana, don’t pull off a miracle, Zeus will be sold, and the boy and his dog will be separated forever.
